About me…

G’ day to you all from Australia.

I am an Emergency Medicine Specialist with over 25 years of experience working in hospitals and healthcare industries in Australia and the UK.

As a writer, I have worked with B-2-B and B-2-C clients in other countries, including the UK, France, USA, Canada, Brazil, New Zealand, China, South Korea, Japan, Türkiye, Ukraine & India.

I graduated from the Royal Free and University College Medical School, London, in 2001 with a distinction in my final MB BS and completed an intercalated Bachelor of Science (Hons.) in Primary Health Care at the University of London.

I publish interesting cases based on actual patients I have treated for digital medical platforms aimed mainly at healthcare professionals, such as The Australian Doctor and The Medical Republic.

I am also a contributing author for The Good Men Project, a website focusing on men’s health and Medshadow, which uncovers the myths and facts regarding certain pharmaceuticals used worldwide.

My services include:

Editing and proofreading other writers’ draft essays and dissertations.

Fact-checking health and medical literature based on current guidelines and best practices.

Writing content for other healthcare professionals.

Producing patient-focused medical information.

Ghostwriting for clients who require a writer with an extensive medical vocabulary.

Editing written content for SEO-optimised website copy.

Preparing material for and teaching undergraduate medicine, which includes CME/examination material.

Teaching English (TEFL) to an expert/proficient level of comprehension.

I also teach undergraduate and postgraduate students medicine, nursing, allied health care and English. I can be found on these platforms: Superprof, Tutorfinder or Preply.

I am also an approved member of Rachel’s List, a community for freelance journalists, content writers, copywriters, editors, social media specialists, PR people and other creatives from around Australia.

And in my spare time…

I have a passion for domestic and worldwide travel, including visiting family and friends overseas from where I emigrated as a junior doctor.

Now living on the east coast of Australia, I regularly escape for long walks along my local beaches, swimming for charity, or cycling.

As a logophile and closet lexicographer and etymologist, I enjoy reading and writing about current affairs, environmental issues, science and astronomy. I also enjoy attempting cryptic crosswords and regularly listen to and play classical music on my flute and piano.

Where I currently work and live, I respect and acknowledge First Australians, the traditional custodians and owners of this country. I recognise their continuing culture, contribution and connection to land, waters and community.

I pay my respects to elders, past, present and emerging.
